Wedding Memories

 Like I promised here is a small collection

of pictures from our daughters wedding this past July.

This is one of my precious little nieces. 

 Those of you who have planned a wedding know how many little details 

go into this event and.... how expensive they can be, so being the crafty

family that we are we made all our own decorations and center pieces.

This is our eldest daughter.

 This was my first time making a maid of honor & bridal bouquet.

Bought flowers from a couple of our grocery stores the ladies at the one

department even gave me a quick tutorial which really helped.

 I think they turned out beautiful if I do say so my self.

My daughter just got married this past July

so being a proud mother I just have to share with you

some of the special moments that were captured.

   Their Wedding Ceremony was held at a friends 

beautiful farm

                                             he has a river that runs along the back of his property.

                     This is my oldest daughter and niese spending some 

               quality time together before the dress rehearsal.

Well after a long time away I'm back.

It's been a busy last couple of years for us but I think 

thing are finally slowing down a little.

 There have been a couple of changes around the cottage.
Our flowers this year have done really well! 
Although I can't take all the credit my husband loves to be
in the garden so he does most of the heavy lifting.
 

 This year I wanted to cut down on the amount of weeding
we have to do so we took out a lot of flowers to first make 
the gardens more simple then we laid down gardening
fabric finally mulch, mulch and more mulch!
Did I mention how much I hate weeding?
 

 And hubby is not a fan of mowing around every little thing
so we took out grass to make the mowing go quicker 
and smoother. Besides who wants to spend there summer
weeding & mowing, right?
 

Keeping cool under the ferns 
Meet Valour he is my dog guide,
he will be 3 in November.
I have had him since June of  2013

 This side of our yard has a slope and was bush.
So I cleared a path put in some stairs using railway ties
and then rocks for stepping stones. Found this cute well that
someone was happy to get rid of and what was once an eye sore 
is now a place of interest for people. And the nice thing about it is
there is no maintenance.

 We have a fire pit in the gazebo that is so nice to sit 
around and have a drink at night, or a cold one in the
afternoon it's so relaxing.

 Our new son in-law built two pergolas this summer.
Our daughter got married in June and their
reception was held in our back yard and the one thing
they wanted was a light umbrella.
 It looks so beautiful at night, I'll post a night Picture later.

 I saw this cute idea on Pinterest and just had to add them to my garden.

I inherited this chair but.......

 the only thing was it was in rough shape & very dirty!

I just love Spring the sun is so warm, flowers are budding

 and we have an abundance of these little guys.

	Easy Tortellini Salad                                                    1-8 oz pkg spinich filled tortellini-dry type (ronzoni or barilla brand) not frozen
1-8 oz	pkg. 3 cheese tortellini-dry type also
1-6 oz	jar marinated artichoke hearts-cut into small pieces
1 pt	grape tomatoes-cut in half or 1 large beefsteak tomato seeded and diced
6 oz. can(s)	black pitted olives-drained and sliced
1/2	red onion-sliced thin
1/4 c	grated carrots
2 Tbsp	fresh parsley-chopped-as a garnish.
	~~~~ my salad dressing ~~~~
1/2 c	apple cider vinegar
1/2 c	olive oil, extra virgin
3 oz	corn oil
1 Tbsp	sugar
1/4 tsp	black pepper
1/4 tsp	oregano, dried
1 tsp	salt

 Directions

1 In a small bowl or jar, mix together the salad dressing ingredients and set aside.
2 Cook both tortellini packages according to the package directions, al dente.
3 Drain and cool completely, and set aside.
4 In a large salad serving bowl, mix together the artichoke hearts, tomatoes, olives, red onion and carrots.
5 Then add in all the cooled tortellinis and toss well.
6 Shake or wisk to salad dressing very well and immediately pour the entire amount over the tortellini salad. Toss til evenly coated.
7 Refigerate a few hours or overnight. Toss again before serving. And add some chopped fresh parsley for even more color!
